Is extended leather package fitted to my z3?

Curious about this - have used the search function but can't find any pictures to refer to - my question is whether my Z3 has the extended leather package on the dash. Had always thought it was faux vinyl material and not used leather products on it but recently realised my boomerangs were leather and noted the dash looks the same - so am wondering if I should be using leather products to care for the dash as well.

Would appreciate any comments based on the pictures below - thanks.

Thanks for that Jon - heh, it is a little like an unexpected present finding this out.

Although, I've had the car for a few years now and I'm cringing to think of all the times that the dash leather got a simple wipe with Mothers vinyl cleaner whilst I lavished care on the seats and pored over them with cleaner and conditioner and regularly wiped them down with a damp cloth etc and so on.

Will have to be even more careful of not leaving it in direct sun as have read about the propensity of the dash leather to crack when exposed to too much sun.

Thanks again.

yeah no offense, but I'd much prefer to not have the extended leather

if I ever found myself back in a z3, having it would be an immediate DQ in the purchase

the leather pealing seems to be such a rampant issue, and is an insanly costly fix
and to not fix it looks attrocious, as it just gets worse
it didn't look so bad in my z3 the day I bought it, but when I sold it 364 days later, it was looking pretty embarassing

/runs off soap box

I believe someone here was talking about how extended leather sux a while back because the issue with it pealing away from the dash... BMW had to fix his package twice than he sold it when warranty ran out.

Photos look nice...

For a MY 99 in a sunny climate with NO special care it still looks great in your pics. Maybe it`s not as delicate as some have reported.
