Alarm for M Coupe?
Supposedly the M Coupes are prewired for a factory keyless entry/alarm system.. Is that correct? (I've got a 2000). Does anybody have the P/N offhand, or know cost or much of a PITA the install is?
I hate having to use a key (I know, I sound lazy) and am worried that I'll scrape the paint with something else in my keychain while locking or unlocking the car.
couldn't find any real writeups on the web anywhere..

i am not 100% sure of your year, but my '99 2.8, is pre-wired. i think all are, but don't quote me.
anyway, i picked one up on ebay for about $125.00 alltogether. i bought the siren, and main unit seperately. hookup is very, simple. taking the glovebox off was the hardest part. you will have to program the remote, you can find instructions on the web.
there is a siren connection near the firewall/driver's side, the main unit simply plugs in to the harness behind the glovebox.
