Why can't you cover the A pillar in leather?

Call them and see if they can mix to sample. They have Imola exterior paint, but they may be able to do interior too.

And any decent body shop should be able to mix you up some interior paint for a perfect color match (for example, I had center console panels painted by a body shop just recently and they are a perfect match to the OEM colouring).

was the texture the same as OEM (that rubber like vinyl feel)?

The paint used was textured and the look and feel of it is a match to the particular console panels that I had repainted. Obviously not really possible to convey 'touch' etc from a pic but FWIW I have attached a cpouple below.

The panels needed to be painted as I fitted an M console into my auto 2.8 (heresy I know for the lucky M crowd - but I wanted a factory looking install of oil pressure and oil temp gauges). The shifter aperture on the gearshift surround trim piece from the Z3 is a different size and shape to that of the M and you must have the correct size for an auto given that there is an insert piece, so I cut a Z3 panel just above the aperture and had it joined to a similarly cut M panel which was then painted. Still have a couple of details to finalise (mounting of OBC in armrest etc) and then I'll take some more pics in case anyone is interested. BTW, both center console panels were painted (originals were blue) so color difference in pics between pieces is due to lighting etc.
