How can I get a confirmation beep for when I lock my doors via the remote on my 2004 X3?

I don't have my manual with me - I think it is about page 20 or 22. If you don't find it let me know and I will check it. I got my lights to flash twice on locking and once for unlocking. No Beep, no sighs, no screams - Managed to get the doors to lock automatically after driving off - now if I could only get the lights to stay on for 90 seconds when I shut the engine off - I followed the book and still no luck. I was amazed, I even found the toolbox yesterday after needing 3 people to help me. (we were looking for the locking wheel tool). I still don't understand why there is no temperature guage. Never had run flats before and never read up on them - hope they work - we live in the middle of nowhere - should be fun if I do get a flat - person at tire shop suggested get a spare. I figure - what's the point - then I lose the trunk and need to get a jack. Over the last 20 years only had 4 flats - therefore, hopefully all will be OK. |
After you turn off the car, flash the brights.... the lights should stay on for 45 seconds (or something like that)... they call it pathway lighting..

tried to ask about it also on my 06 E90, though love, its not equiped unless I have the alarm installed.
