 Strut Brace Poll

Looks like I started a tempest in a teacup about strut braces...

Since it may matter if you have a coupe or a roady, vote the right question!!!

Please vote if you actually installed one....

I think you should have had noted what level of improvement people enjoyed (it's obvious it's going to help somewhat). I put on the dinan Strut tower brace and it really seemed to help. Going down rough roads the car wants to stay straight (much more than before) and more importantly, when taking turns the car holds firmer for much longer. However, at apx 70mpg you can feel it giving way a bit I think. The one thing I noticed was that I have a ding in my car from what I can only guess was the brace. It showed up some time later and it might be because I tightened it down a little too much on that side. See it clears it, and it's a kind of weird mark, I'm wondering if I hit a bump hard enough to cause this? I have no idea, it could have gotten it from the dealership for all I know.

I want to get the strong-options along with other stuff such as sways and bushings but the strong option seems a bit pricy..

The question I would have is this:

Has anyone quantified an improvement with the addition of a strut brace and no other improvements? (Improved track times, better comparative autocross times, etc.)

Yah, I thought about that. Problem is that one persons "Modest Improvement" is anothers "Totaly Awsome".

The only real objective way to do a number of laps/autoX runs with and without and average the times.

At the end of the day, the only question that is worth asking is "Was it worth it to me?"
