 Spanish newbie signing in

Hi all;

Having recently discovered this forum and having found it very, very interesting , I eventually decided to sign in and say hello.
I own a E-46 320Td Compact. I come from Spain though I've done my bit of travelling and working around different countries, though, shame on me, I haven't ever been to the US. I promise to correct this as soon as I'm able to . I've got some friends to visit over there.
I belong to another BMW internet community named bmwfaq.com. In this forum I got the information about this web of yours. It's a very good forum with a very friendly and well-moderated atmosphere and a lot of things to learn, with over 10.000 registered users already. It's worth having a look at if you can read spanish.
Well, I hope I can contribute with useful things here. Thanks for the chance of taking advantage from your knowledge!.
Regards!

....... And, apparently, it looks like spanish cuisine is becoming increasingly popular in the US. Good sign, I'd say.

Regards!
Mi Luna is a very popular Spanish restaurant here in Houston. What is strange is that is actually owned by a Morrocan.

Quote:
The generous menu is dominated by Spanish cuisine and the occasional Moroccan dish (in honor of owner Youssef Nafaa who also runs the popular Mia Bella and Saffron). For the full effect, mix and match plates of varied flavors from the hot and cold tapas selections. Try Serrano ham with Manchego and fresh fruit, flavorful empanadas or large sea scallops grilled with a tomato sherry wine sauce. The Spanish tortilla is like a dense, oniony potato omelet while paella Mi Luna is loaded with seafood , chorizo and chicken-enough for the whole table to taste. Supplement gaps between orders with warm bread and garlicky olive oil dipping sauce-

Welcome! I spent my summer in Cantabria (Santander) and it was a life-changing experience. I definitely wish I had a BMW while I was there to hit the mountain roads!

Heatseeker... as a winemaker in Ca at the time I moved to Portugal, I spent as much time in the wine reagons as I could.

even managed a stop in the Villadolid at Vega Sicilia where I picked up some Unico and a Valbuena No. 3 and No. 5.

I spent much time in the north and likely spent time in your home town.

I agree that the food in the notrh is the best, though the Paella is best in the south.

Oddly enough, in Portugal the best food is in the middle... the Alentejo!
The puerco Alentejo is out of this word, as is the Frango Churrasco con piri piri.
