Need some help with Z3 fuse

Guys and gals,

I need some help. This is my first post, but aside from the fact. I drive a 99 Z3 and recently my auto door lock fuse keeps blowing out. I have not done any mods to it. It just stopped working one day. Does anyone have an idea about whats causing it? It use to be that I can replace the fuse and move on with life. Now, the fuse blows once I put a new one on.

Thanks in advance.

A blowing fuse is the car's way of telling you that there is a short to ground someplace in the system. Only way to find it is to trace wires from both door locks to the power distribution box. The lock selenoid might also be shorted out. Given the pita of chasing wires, you might want to look at replacing the door lock mechanism, but I have no idea how much that will cost.
