Best iPod setup for Business CD in 2000 M Coupe?

Subject says it all. I plan on redoing the stereo entirely at some point, and putting in a more ipod friendly deck... but in the short term (less than a year), I'd like something that works.

Am considering FM line input (in-line with the antenna feed) modulator (cheap) but I'd have to charge the iPod at home. Not a big deal; I don't drive much and the battery on my 4th gen lasts over 13h.

It LOOKS like monster has an audio-only or audio+charge setup that plugs into the cd changer input for sound, even better quality.

Also, there is the icelink, which seems to have big limits (only the first 5 playlists and such).

I don't mind a $200ish setup, but if I pay that, I want the one with the BEST text info in dash, and the best playlist support.. not sure if there's anything better than the icelink.

I've searched a bit, but the sites for the various products make it SO hard to figure out what they do.

Advice/experiences/BTDT?
thanks!

Thats not the Nav radio right? I have one with NAV and one with Business

the navigation has the Ipod installed in the middle. I would be glad to post photos if thats what you need.

Check this out: Blitsafe BMW/M-Link...

I think that will do the trick for you.

Thanks for the info. It looks like the Blitsafe only does audio, not controls or display. Monster seems to have a similar setup for about half the price, but then you have to jump up to double the price of the Blitsafe to get the Denison Icelink which does display some stuff. It seems limited, but better than nothing.

I'm still annoyed at Alpine, they limit the number of songs in a playlist and songs per artist and so on that can have the names displayed.. you can still access the tracks, but... The memory in the decks are only designed to handle the tags from a CD's worth of MP3s apparently. Come on guys, can't you fit an easy gig of memory in that thing, would be more than enough to handle all of that data. Hell, even 512mb should handle the full catalog of titles from a 60gb iPod. But they do seem to have the best setup, and I would buy it now if I was doing a whole system. Hopefully within a year or so they will have it (more) perfected.

I'm currently thinking the Icelink is the way to go, even though it still seems to be limited to the first 5 playlists before you have to revert to controlling from the iPod...
