Upgrading and ready to order.....Love chrome ...but nor sure on my sterling gray 2001??
Anyone have these wheels in silver or chrome, with pictures??
What do you thnk??
Chrome, I could then add chrome gills...should look ok??

Sterling Gray | Well it's all a matter of taste ... beauty is in the eye ... each to their own etc etc but I'd defnitely say no to chrome rims on a Z3 - although if I was forced to have them, I reckon sterling silver would be the best looking color for them. And personally I have never been much of a fan of the chrome gills.
Anyway, I'm also thinking about putting AR1's on my Z3 so I've been searching for pic's of them on a Z or M too - but such pictures seem to be very rare. You could check a thread I started on another forum which does have a few pictures:

I have the BMW OEM with silver same style.... Very nice ... I wouldnt put chrome on if it if was free its just to flashy and alot of work cleaning. Get the color that matches your car.

Nice choice of rims | They are a nice looking rim - look good on your car. I did originally think of the BMW OEM ones but seems they are not available in 18"s (I'd like to replace my stock 17"s with some 18"s). I particularly like the distinct raised bolt heads and curved spokes on the OEM rims, but really like the deeper dish on the ASA's - and it is also possible to get a staggered fitment (18 x 8 front, 18 x 9 or wider) from front to back.
I'll be getting them as soon as I can get a US based vendor to agree to ship them to me via USPS (can't get them here as the local NZ ASA distributor only brings the 17 x 8 size in).

Chrome is just aweful on a BMW...especially on a Z.
