Thought I'd just post a few pics of some of the finished results of the mods I took on before H/C. Finally got my chrome mirrors completed today. Haven't put them on yet. Had the housings chromed and just completed re-assembly tonight. Pretty simple job really but looks much more difficult when first tackled. I've included a photo of how I re-assembled the mirrors using a simple G clamp and a socket to compress the spring and press the clip on. The clip which holds the mirrors together does not seem to be available from BMW but is readily available at Ace Hardware for a few cents. (Had me worried for a few days.) I finished the inside of the mirrors in Imola red today - fit them on the car tomorrow night. They turned out pretty good.
I added the early E36 intake manifold as well after slopping some Imola red on it to maintain the theme underhood.
Also Chromed my new Oil Filter housing before fitting it. Chromed the Master cylinder, (not that you can see much of it.) Chromed the hood shocks.
Photo enclosed also of my new Euro Headers JetHot coated. Also fabricated a custom 2.25" SS exhaust from various parts (thanks AL) and added Hi-Flow cats. Deleted the secondary air pump and a bunch of other crap under the old intake manifold. Added the oil cooler, braided hoses and Zionsville Al radiator.
Also picture of the rear of the car with the new Dual Ear housing and custom paint job. Sits pretty low and the diff housing is easily visible from the rear of the car. Was out in the car on Friday night and a guy asked if the Diff was "built." (Noticed the paint job.) All in all it has been a very busy 2 1/2 months and Sheralyn hasn't been getting near enough attention. At least I've cleared off my bench nearly all the projects that had been building up.
