 oil filter location...

Hey all!!

i just got a 1998 Z roadster.

the oil is balcker then black! So i'm trying to change it, but i dont see the filter anywhere. I got a fram filter and some high performace oil, but i cant start until i find the filter.

any help?

oh and i was wondering if there are any websites with good diagrams and pictures for the car

You need a 36MM socket to take the cover off. Your filter should be a cartridge (not a metal screw on filter) and should have O rings with it as well.

Other thing, don't use Fram.

On the BMWs, I use OEM or Mann filters. On others, I use Mobil 1 filters.

Been a couple of years but I thought i heard that FRAM simply repackages the MANN filter in this case.. as in for this particular filter?

I agree in the bigger sense... OEM and/or MANN is a better choice
