 M Roadster (S54) Service

Hey guys I just got the (S54) M Roadster back from the dealer

They reprogramed the software, replaced an O2 sensor ,MAF sensor and oilchange. The clutch feels better now...

Now the car feels slower ... Maybe its just me or maybe the prior owner had an upgraded software. I think its time for a dyno...

(S54) owners can you tell me what else I need to look for....

Jim Conforti makes a great software upgrade for our cars!

Enable sport mode. Car will feel much faster. It won't be, but it will feel like it.

It has a sport mode?

I remember there were a few of us that complained about the coldstart up of the S54 (ruff sputtering, sometimes stalling until warm). My repairs from BMW and new software has eliminated this issue.

Now the (54)MRoadtser starts up like any other BMW. So I guess the hard start up is not normal and should be corrected.

Remember this I did not have a check engine light on. I had a friend pull the codes. If I did not do this I would have thought this to be normal for this engine.

It's in the DME computer, just not wired up to a button in the cockpit.

For approaches to doing this, see http://bimmerfest.com/forums/search....archid=1519861
