Crashed S54 M Coupe, Help!
Well, a week after I got my new car, it was crashed. My dad was driving (who, by the way, is an experienced and skilled driver) and just got into a bad situation.
My main concern is getting it fixed, and making sure it is done PERFECTLY. I want to make sure whoever works on it knows what they are doing and can get it back to where it should be (hell, maybe better than before.
That is where I was hoping I could get some guidance and direction. I am sure you can all put yourself in my place and understand that this really, really sucks. I live in the Los Angeles area... where can I bring it to get it taken care of? From what I can see, this is what it needs;
A lot of suspension work Body Work Undercarriage (including exhaust) Possible motor work (s**t, I sure hope not) Greif Counseling/Suicide watch for the owner (lol)
Any guidance and direction would be appreciated so much. All I am asking for are a list of people who are going to do this car, and who are going to do it right. Insurance is picking up the tab, so cost shouldnt be much of an option.

1. On body work, talk to Mike Gregorian. I will PM you his cell -- he knows all the body shops and the BMW Certified Repair Center standards.
2. Mechanicals -- European Motor Works in Arcadia, John Handal -- did my subframe / trailing arm work, and has a good rep in BMW enthusiast crowd. tel (626) 445-6600
3. Mechanical -- GT International on westside, Colby. Owner has an M Coupe, need I say more? I haven't used them, but others are very happy with them.

I would never let any family member drive mine besides the wife.
YOu have insurance right? if you run this through them it will post in the title as major damaged from accident... Just sux

The car ended up over a curb onto a dirt enbankment... hitting the curb is obviously how the suspension was damaged. Other than the curb and the enbankment, the car actualy didnt collide with anything. The bodywork is (somehow) minor and only to the front end, thank god. As for the motor, the only damage that could have been done would be to the underside (and it would be minimal). I just want to make sure that ANYTHING that was even slightly damaged is gonna be made perfect again. Again, the damage done was far from devestating, but I am going to be as anal about this as possible.
phrider; thanks for the info, i will definatly look into the list you provided for me. Any more help or advice would be appreciated! Thanks again guys!

PS: And if you're doing rear suspension work, get the Ireland Engineering subframe bushings and the trailing arm adjusters (either weld-on or KMAC) done at the same time.
