Check Engine Light?
Ok guys here it is, With homecoming around the corner I figured I would change my oil, seeing how I would be busy on call this upcoming week at work.Well I change the oil and filter,use my reset tool, take her for a ride and bam the check engine light comes on after twelve miles.Can,t figure out, used synthetic bmw recommended viscosity? Any Ideas I am in kind of a panic with HC coming up and that stupid light on  | | Reply » Check Engine Light? |

Seriously, you can usually go to Pep Boys and get the codes read out for free. That might give you some clue. Although if you did fill up with gas, check your gas cap to make sure it's on tight.

Hopefully all goes well,Why do things always happen at last minute though?

We would be all just guessing.WITH OUT THE TOOL,I wonder if you set off a low level or high temp switch.That should clear see if comes back..
