Don't hear much mention of us replacing the guibo. I know on my 2002 (model not year) I must have needed replacement every 40k.
I looked at mine today and see its cracked. I will be changing it when I am ready to play with the shift mechanism.(Looking to try the Forbes racing lever and change the bushings to Stygar ones that don't melt. I have the ACS short shift setup so it will be a first for any improvements to an ACS.)

Did you notice any degredation (acceleration, etc) due to the cracked guibo ? What would a cracked guibo cause, anyway ? I'm just wondering if I could tell if mine is cracked without looking...

Just at the rear of the tranny.
The drive shaft moves around under acceleration when it really is gone. I know on my 2002 it would sound like someone under the car banging on the floor with a hammer.
its a possible safety issue in extreme cases.
mine is starting to show big cracks so I know it will need changing soon.
The reason for the post I was curious if anyone else had needed to change theirs and at what mileage

The guibo on the black car had a crack from one of the bolt holes (I haven't seen it yet) and it was suggested to me that it should be replaced. I agreed. Sixty thousand miles

I planned on changing mine out with the motor mounts when the snow comes. Thanks for the reminder.
