That sux... Dry it out before to tackle the smell

Febreze Auto works pretty well. I haven't used it in the M yet, but I've used it in the SUV (the vehicle my dog gets to ride in).

1) Dry the car out. Open it up on a hot day and let to fully dry out.

2) Vacuum well.

3) Shampoo the carpets, you may have to remove the seats to do a complete job. Some baking soda or a SMALL amount of bleach in the wash water will help also. Also some pet store enzyme products might work. Dry COMPLETELT.

4) Treat with Fabreze.

Basically you got some mold/mildew growth that you need to deal with

You may also, once dry want to scotch guard the interior at least the carpets and mats. I did and have left the top down overnight and then it rained. Soaked up all the water turned on the heater floor vents and aired it out. It was fine.
