(I asked this on another board, but wanted to get bimmerfest's opinion too) Is anyone else running 245/35-18(F, 18x8.5) & 285/30-18(R, 18x10) on a stock suspension? Do they rub at all? Thanks for the help!

Quote: So I answered my own question by putting them on. Rear's used a 10mm spacer. The fronts are only ~3mm from the strut tower. I can't even fit my pinky finger in between the tire and strut! A 5mm spacer probably would have been the smart thing.
But it's all working anyway.
Just FYI for anyone thinking of putting this size tire on your M Cpe/Rdstr...

What size wheels and offsets?
I'm guessing 18x8.5 in front and 18x10 in the rear?
If so, what offsets for the front and rear?

I would think that you are likely to create a push with that much rear tire.
I run 235 40 18 and 285 35 18 on a lowered M Coupe and I think that is plenty of rubber.'
I am always looking to learn something new..is there a theory behind going that wide?
