 Installing Eisenmann

I will be installing my eisenmann exhaust early next week. For those who have done it can you tell me will I need an impact wrench to get the exhaust flange bolts off ro will I be able to get them with socket and rachet?

Any words of wisdom appreciated...

No impact wrench needed.

The nuts are copper, and are intended to be one-time use. I'd buy some new ones from the dealer.

You'll need to do some bending of the brackets on the mufflers. Expect some tweaking of fitment over the first dozen heat cycles.

You may also want to get a 12" extension, I found it to be helpful with those flange nuts. The most difficult part is the adjustments to get it to look straight. Be sure to check the distance from the rear bumper, that both sides are the same and at the distance you want.
Have fun!

Forgot to post the P/N for the copper nuts... 11.62.1.744.323. I'd buy at least 8 of them so you have some spares. List price is 50 cents each.

Regarding the potential to melt the bumper cover after installation of the 83mm Eisenmann. Has anyone considered some sort of metalic trim? I can envision what I have in mind but am not knowledgeable enough to to be able to explain it. I would imagine that there is an automotive trim, aluminum or similar that one could use to protect the edge... tried to google it but nothing yet...
