Just curious, Have you ever had a small rattle come from where the rear mounts are, every so often i hear one and if i turn the tension handle then turn it back its gone, I have had the top off and checked all the area and all seems to be snug, just wondering if anyone has come across this before

How much effort is required to rotate the rear hdtp latches? The ones on the 99 are real tight, if yours aren't, that might be why it rattles...?

You will need to take the top off to do this. I had an old laze-boy chair That I laid out and placed the top up side down on. Remove the two screws that hold this on and your ready. Don't move or turn the bottom bolt. This will change the adjustment to the car. Most likely the top one has vibrated lose If you have the spinner wrench that came with the Hard top use that to tighten it, (Again do not move the bottom bolt, unless you do need make an-adjustment) I used some of the wife's nail polish on the threads to keep it from coming lose, or get some Loc -tight thats used to form a lite bond that you can brake if you need to readjust the bolt. Good luck Mike
