 HC05 Question

This being my first year as a BMW owner....and my first Homecoming, I have a question.

There are a number of items I wish to purchase for my baby, and buying them in the US of A saves me from paying a mittful of money to our wonderful Canadian government. Also.....momma will be more agreeable to me spending money once she meets all you friendly folks and I show her a wonderful time in South Carolina.

So is there any chance of somebody being in the neighbourhood to sell / install some combination of the following parts?

top strut, butt strutt, soft tonneau / boot cover, roll bar

If not....no worries. I just do it over the internet and sell one of my children to pay the bill

front strut should be a easy parking lot install, butt strut im not sure about
the other stuff I would think could be done there without to much trouble
most items if you are buying them from one of the vendors there they should be able to help you out
I would strongly reccomend you stop at the leatherz vendoe tent , they have some badass suff
Dont forget to get your money changed to us dollars, the canadian money has a funny color to it

She'll realize there are folks much worse than you on the car craziness scale.

Paul has been at Homecoming, I've no idea if he's coming this year with Strong-Struts. Boot cover... I suspect you won't find a factory one at Homecoming, but you might find an alternative (z3solutions). Roll bar... HMS will presumably be there, but I wouldn't count on getting one installed while at HC. Doing it in typical SC heat would be a drag and that's one job I wouldn't want rushed.

Best thing with HMS is to drive to where they are for install. They will loan you their car to take a nice drive while they work on yours.

Paul of SS hasn't been there for 3 years. But you could order from him and have delivered to the hotel. Front strut is easy. He did mine in the parking lot in HC02.

You can install both SS units in less than an hour will drinking a beer or two. The directions for the front strut is more about making sure there is hood clearance -- sometimes you need minor adjustment for height. The butt strut brace does not even require car to be jacked or wheels removed. It goes faster with two guys but one can do it himself provided he has a 5 inch box to prop other side during first bolt on. You will need an odd sized large socket (listed in instructions) for the rear install and torque wrench.

I don't think Paul is coming ...In my last Email swap with Paul I got the impression he was not going to be at HC this year. As I offered to supply him with adult beverages for his advise & discount on rear strut mod.. he said he wasn't going to be there to take me up on my offer.. I'm sure some one else will though.. don't you think???
Above advise is correct also join ZSSCA ... & bring all your money you'll need it!!!
An Idea
If you buy the lugage rack & hard case you can take more stuff home with you...
