Scaggs Pedals, Heel Toe Accelerator, or regular

Just curious. Does anyone here have the heel an toe version of the accelerator pedal? How does it compare to the standard looking one? I am just curious to know what people think.

I have the skaggs heal/toe pedal. I like it a lot. When I was first heal/toe downshifting I was trying to the whole left side of the foot/right side of the foot and that pedal was really nice for that. But I never could get the braking right that way so now I do a real heal/toe method - I so don't know if the pedals are needed anymore. But it looks great and the extra part at the tow has never gotten in the way

I can never do a real heel-toe on our cars. I think it's difficult because the throttle is attached to the floor as opposed to being "hung" if you will like the brake and clutch. I gues you have to really twist your foot?

I only do toe-toe shifts (right and left side of right foot) but I'd like to be able to say I can really heel-toe

Although nowdays virtually every race car is "heel and toe" by rolling foot. Even those with hanging pedals.

I have sort of a narrow foot so I kept slipping off the brake (or atleast letting up on the brake) - maybe I was just not very good at it. But just flicking the heal over to the gas seems to work well for me. Maybe I'll try the side to side thing again and see if it works now that I have more experience.

Of course, in race cars the pedals are more adjutable to make it easier.

My wife has a problem with the Roadster, but I do not. But watching, she tended to try to get too much of her foot on the brake.

If you need something different, they go for it.

I was just pointing out that race cars don't use true heel and toe, and pretty much haven't for MANY years.
