An article in the roundel put the total at 297,088 cars.
Thats:
263,951 Z3 Roadsters 11523 Z3 Coupes 15322 M Roadsters 6292 M Coupes.
I am assuming these are world wide production numbers.
So, more importantly, how many Z3s are there in america?
How many of these have 6 cyllinder engines?
Do we know of any 4 cyllinder cars that have subframe issues?
Thanks in advance.

When I was shopping a year ago, I remember seeing the number 2,745 for M Coupes in the US. If memory serves me correctly, 711 or so of that 2,745 were S54s. Can't remember where I saw it though.

Fred Meloan regularly posted the history of Z3 sales on Roadfly.
He has some of that history on his web site at http://myfilelocker.comcast.net/fdme...ries_Sales.pdf
The history through April 2003 is at: http://bimmer.roadfly.com/bmw/forums...postid=3152212

Fred's sales history though Sept 2003 is here:

This was his last sales history for the Z3 and contains all of the model totals (US sales only).
