Well I found a dream car

and have a few questions:
It's a 2001 M coupe with only 8,000 orig. miles

by the orig. owner.
The only thing that has been done to the car is oil changes and a new battery. It still boasts the original tires and is alway stored indoors.
I've only ever owned Porsches as my 3rd toy car and this will be my first BMW. (I've never even driven one of these things although I've driven a Z3). Anyway on Porshes it is worth every penny, every time to do a PPI. I don't see much PPI talk on this forum, so I'm not sure what protocal is.
The car is 10 hours away. Is it worth the money to do a PPI on such a low mile car?
What would you look for (other than cosmetics)? I doubt tranny and subrame issues will be a problem at this mileage. The owner (whos one of those picky Porsche guys) says the tires are not hard and not flat spotted.
Please give me your input.
Thanks.
