I heard scratch x from Meguairs works pretty good. Is that true? BTW, I want quick and easy.

Quick-and-easy... power tools. Random orbital buffer, the smaller the better. Keep the hood open, and tape the bumper cover around the headlights first.
I use a variety of rubbing compounds depending on how bad they are. To date, I haven't had to use anything more aggressive than 3M 39002 on the roadster headlights. On cars of yore, I've had to start with wetsanding at 1200 grit. Polishing by hand after wetsanding takes more time and effort than using a power tool, but it's not impossible.

There was an article in last month's Bimmer magazine about polishing. After reading it, it seems there's a lot more choices on polishes, including different grits. They also mentioned that it's a good idea to remove the headlight enclosure too. Good Luck!
