Just got a Z3 3.0, love it...
1...When taking my foot off the accelerator pedal after accelerating I get a raspy exhaust noise, kind of like a deep sputter, sounds ok but not sure if it supposed to do that...BMW said yes it does
2...When accelerating from cold I hear a vibration/rattle coming from the rear of the car, also happens going slow in high gears too like driving at 20mph in 3rd/4th...Only vibrates for a couple of seconds but is annoying as I cant figure out what it is...
Anybody able to shed any light? Thanks

Anybody able to shed any light? Thanks | 20mph in 4th is lugging the engine, no wonder it shudders, DOWNSHIFT!

As a general rule of thumb, I wouldn't let the rpms drop below 2000 when driving around, except when idling at a stop light or sign.

ok to be fair i was prob exarragerating, its higher but there is a definite tinny vibration occuring more so when cold than hot...:s

Whats wrong with keeping the revs below 2000? Before the 3.73 my cruizing RPM was like 1850 or so.
