 slotted rotors

Thoughts on the following-
Changing my rear pads and solid rotors since I toasted them a couple of weekends ago at Blackhawk. Decided to go with Brembo slotted rotors since Power Slot (ones I have on the fronts) do not make rear cryo-rotors for the Z3. Anyways, installation went smooth without any issues. And like any red-blooded male, I took look at the installation guide AFTER I was done. Found out that Brembo states to install the slotted rotors so that the slots angle towards the front . Power Slot rotors have an “R” and “L” etched on them and when installed accordingly, they have the slots angled towards the back. Intuitively, this would sound logical because this slot orientation would create a sweeping motion away from the center. This is the reason why I installed the rear Brembos in the same orientation as the fronts. During the bedding-in process, I really didn’t feel/hear anything usual- they stop pretty well with the Hawk HPS pads. Anyone here have any insight on which is the correct slot orientation for slotted rotors?

Thanks

You can just swap them side to side, or drive backwards...

My StopTech rotors are marked L/R as well. I read the instructions first though.

question still remains,

Power Slots states to have the slots angled towards the back
Brembos states to have the slots angled towards the front

who is right?

I would assume that each company's engineers would design their product and thus draft up the corresponding installation procedures. One isn't more right than the other.

One way is more agressive (when slots are pointing forward.) It creates a little more heat so that pads are warmed up pretty quickly. They also use up pads much quicker.
The other way (powerslots) is more for street use, deglaze pads and get rid of gasses.
