Glad to be a Z owner

I just wanted to say how pleasant it is to be part of an online community that shares a vast amount of knowlegde amongst people who are passionate about their cars.

I wast just selling the last of my E36 M3 stuff (a schroth harness actually) on BFC and a couple of ignorant members chimed with, "OWNED, PWND, etc, etc" b/c they thought I was overpricing my item. They didn't even bother to read the description to figure out what I was selling was completely different from what they were refering to.

Its really sad to see the current state of E36 M3 ownership go to the 16-18 yr old crowd. Its a shame that they have no clue about their cars and/or know how to drive them.

BUT, I am glad to have left that crowd behind and joined my MRoadster/MCoupe bretheren on this board Everyone who has chimed in on this forum has been more than helpful, with often providing pictures (Ron you are the man) and descriptions along with helpful information.

Just had to vent

The Coupe people seam to be way different than most BMW owners.

Maybe it's just my impression, but it seems to me that coupe people tend to be more... into the true performance and passion of driving... whereas most (not all, of course) BMW owners who are young, tend to be more into the "bling bling" factor. In fact, is there even a single coupe or roadster member here who is 20-something? I doubt it...

That said, welcome to the club (though I feel a little out of the club, since I have neither a coupe nor an M - just a lowly Z4 and a 2.5i at that. )
