hey guys! need some info. i am looking to make my next upgrade. that uprade will be engine software. i am looking for info on the best overall upgrade. conforti, dinan, etc.
relevant upgrades: remus exhaust,
ecis cold air intake/ heat shield
any info is greatly appreciated

I have Dinan in my 2.8, and am very pleased with the performance. When I say that, I mean the xtra rpms it gives me before bumping the limiter.
I can't really feel a great revelation of HP being thrust on me, but the engine does seem torq-ier.
The advantage of the Shark is that you can undo/redo the download if you need to, without having to visit a qualified "download specialist."
I have been in Sharked 2.8s, and quitie frankly, can't tell much difference between the Shark and Dinan. Either way, your current mods should be complemented, and you should be fine.
With that said....have you upgraded shocks and/or springs yet? Now there's a difference you can really measure on a stopwatch!!

yes, i have installed h&r springs, and i am planningon new shocks, and yes,
you can tell a big difference, in just the springs, i'm sure it's even better
with performance shocks as well.

If you're looking for increased power (HP), don't waste your money. The stock software for the 2.8 is just as good for 'free'. If you want your engine to perform at its peak level, drive it that way, it'll learn.
If you want slightly smoother power delivery across the curve, an increase in the rev limit and the elimination of the top speed governor, go for it.
My $.02 says there are much better bangs for the buck out there than a remapped ECU.
Suspension is number 1.
