Thanks !!! David N. | Call TireRack. I've heard good things about the Pirelli P Zero Nero M&S, but my car will never see anything but summer tires so I can't speak from experience. Most of us that drive Z cars in the winter in the snow belt switch from summer tires to true winter tires for the snow months (Blizzaks, for example). All-season tires are a compromise most of us don't like to make, if we can afford a second set of (inexpensive) wheels shod with winter tires.

I have Continental Conti ExtremeContacts on my roadster for all season tires. They ride pretty well and overall I think they are a good tire. The sidewalls are fairly soft which makes for a nice ride, but they are not as reponsive or grippy as summer tires. I had them in the snow a few times and was pretty impressed. I only ever went sliding once in the snow and that was untouched 3" and I was able to regain control without hitting anything. If you want all seasons I would definately recommend them.
I took a brand new Mini Cooper S Works to an auto-x on the factory all-season runflats. They didn't have alot of grip, but it was still a last to drive and I scared alot of people in ASP when I took 3rd out of 5 cars. I would say thats not too bad.
Tiff took a car with runflats around a road course track, then let the air out of the tires and did it again. The flat tire lap was fascinating, he said he had lots of control, but it was just a little sloppy. He turned the lap 15 seconds slower with the tire deflated hitting a peak of almost 120mph.

I have a set on my e30, and they're OK, but not great. I have heard complaints about them flatspotting, and have noticed it, on occasion where the car's sitting for a day or two. A few miles of driving and they smooth out, though.

I had hear that about some summer tires and r-comp tires, but hadn' heard it about the all-seasons.
