This looks like a pretty clear side impact. Why no side airbag deployment? EDIT: LINK DEAD. Thread removed (http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...6&page=1&pp=40) He mentioned he had DSC off. It's not clear that DSC would have saved him, but who know. |

This speaks volumes about the dumb@ss: Quote: I guess I can wait till I'm 20 something for a M . I am trying to think of things in a good way.... | As for the airbag, maybe he hit the palm tree sliding instead of at a 90 degree angle, and it's not the type of impact for which the airbag was programmed to go off It somewhat looks like the airbag tried to go off, as the plastic panel is open, but it wasn't able to... ot it's just defective Glad th eguy learned a lesson, though.

Odd... looking at this pic, the side airbag and HPS areas cracked open from the impact, but nothing happened.

He said the driver's side window was down at the time, would that matter?
I really hope he learned his lesson. He seemed like a over-confident guy in his other posts.

Quote: | This speaks volumes about the dumb@ss: | For those of you with the latest issue of BMW Magazine, on page 80, there is a letter from a 16 year old in Naples, FL writing about how his dad bought him a nice Jet Black 325Ci for his 16th birthday. I wonder if this is that kid...
Looks like that one didn't last long.
