Z3 Belt tensioner fault SRS light on

Hey guys, have a question for you fellas. My airbag light is on ,according to the code reader, because of belt tensioners (both, passanger and driver). What do i need to turn it off ? change the belt tensioners ? if so how ? and which parts...

It seems this is a common occurence with BMW belt tensioners, same problem with my 320i.

you need to make sure that the prblem is fixed. I have reset 6 cars SRS lights and 3 were due to the tensioners. We went under the seat and reseated the wire and then reset the light. This has held up so far on 2 cars.

I've come to the same conclusion...the connectors need to be reseated. Mine are so loose now, I just put wire ties around them. If they still fail I'll replace them with something that works better.
GOTAZ3- I have the reset tool if you want me to reset it for you.

There is a modified harness available from the dealer with better connectors. A sevice bulletin exists on that issue.

Bob, Thanks for the info- I'll speak to my dealer when I get a chance. In the meantime, do you know where or how it connects?
