 New Rubber: Toyo Proxes T1R

Just purchased and installed a new set of Toyo Proxes T1R's (next generation of T1S's)
Here's the link for those interested.....
http://www.toyo.com/tires/tire_lines...s_car/tr1.html

After approx 200 miles...I'm totally impressed & remain pleased with this choice.
I had the stock Dunlop 8080's on the car which I never really cared for... but were brand new when I purchased this CPO'd MCoupe.

I left the front's @ 225/45-17 and increased the rears to 255/40-17

1st impressions....
nice ride, great grip, terrific cornering, great in the wet... and quiet.

Fronts $140 & rears $160... installed.

Just sharing a nice day

Peace,
D

awesome, give us a mileage update in a couple months. I am thinking of buying some later in the summer.

Great, another tire to add to the list. My tire decision at the end of the summer sure is going to be a fun one. Currently on the list...

Toyo T1-R
Falken Azenis RT-615
Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2

Right now, I think that it's between the Hankooks and the Toyos. I've heard great things about both, and can't quite justify spending an extra couple hundred dollars to get the PS2's or GS-D3's. I like the Falkens, but if I'm going to be buying a 200 treadwear tire, I'd like it to be as cheap as the old RT-215 Falkens. The Hankooks are so tempting because a set of 4 tires would $410 through Edge Racing. So I guess that I have to decide if any of the other tires are worth (at a minimum) $150 more than the Hankooks to me.

I'll be glad to post my impressions after a few k miles.

No tramlining currently.. to answer that question.

I was deciding between the PS2's and the T1R's.
IMO the T1R's are a better value for the $$$$'s

Peace,
D
