I have just finished running a wire to activate sport mode in my '02 M coupe.
It's still a very temporary hookup, but OH WOW! This is how the throttle ought to feel. The "drive by wire hesitation" is gone and it feels like a sensitive mechanical throttle linkage.
Monday I have to get the parts to make it a permanent installation.

Best cheap mod you can make if you ask me --- but then I like sensitive throttles.
