I just bought a 2006 BMW 325i a month ago. I suddenly noticed that I no longer hear the clicking sound when I use the turn indicator. The green arrows flash but no clicking sound. Then I also noticed that I also don't hear any other acoustic warnings, for example when seatbelts are not. Don't worry, my hearing is quite good as I can still listen to the radio in my car.
