Replacing the knock sensor on a 1.9 motor

Has anyone replaced the knock sensor on the 1&2 cylinder side of the 1.9 motor?
The CEL keeps coming on and my Peake reader keeps giving the same code. Jay at Nashville BMW ordered the sensor for me but wasn't familiar with the R&R.Also, while I'm in there is there something else I should replace while I have everything apart? Help? Thanks. Dave
