I changed a flat tire last night (second one in 60 days )and was horrified at the flimsy jack provided compliments of BMW I was seriously worried the jack was going to slip despite being on level ground. Does anyone have a recommendation for a specific replacement for this POS jack? Thanks.

Is it still a long metal thing with a hand crank? My E34 has it and it has to be the flimsiest thing ive ever seen. If my tire blows, im not even going to try to use that thing, ill probably scratch my car when the thing tips over.

Well, if you really have done a search, then you'll see that there are a great variety of jacks available for different applications. You want a "specific recommendation", but have haven't told us what you specific needs are? Light and portable to leave in the trunk at all times? Larger and sturdier for general purpose use in the garage and at the track? Able to reach the center jacks points in the rear AND the front on a lowered car? We can't help you if we don't know what your criteria are
