I love the exhaust sound of Magna Flows, but sometimes I just wanna hear my music. At normal fwy cruising, it can be pretty lound at 80-85mph. The drone really kills the music and esp the bass, even with the 2 custom JL 6W0 subs I have back there. BTW, I'm not changing out the exhaust so don't suggest that. |

hah hah... change the exhaust..
Serious... there is no known way to deaden exhaust drone. Road noise, creaks, rattles.. yes.. exhaust drone... you might want to try what some resonators.. infact, the louder the car, the less you'll hear the exhaust drone...

Dude, its so easy...
Just get a comforter, and fold it up and cover the floor boards. That makes a big difference. There is less insulation underneath the floor panels than the sides.
I know a down comforter does wonders, I had one in the car when I was between homes...

Make sure you pull the cover over it so people dont see your crap in the back though...

oh man, great advice I was hoping maybe someone has already dynmatted their hatch to jump in and give me some pointers...hahaha. BUT, I might try that down comforter thing just for laughs. I mainly use the coupe to get out of town and go on weekend trips so I'll need that space in the trunk for luggage.

With all the crap we took to homecoming last year, we had great sound deadening. You would be surprised. So you can always put the comforter over the bags. If there is no room, it will probably be even quieter.
