I can't believe the instant community membership that comes from owning this car. We took the Z3 on a road trip down to New Orleans over Memorial Day weekend. Cruising through central LA on I-10 and I-49 on our way to Hot Springs on Sunday, we spotted another steel gray Z3, also with the top up (it was a rainy day). Proceeded to play tag for 50 miles until he had to exit (signaled a mile in advance to let me know). Multiple smiles and waves were exchanged. He also spotted a cop first and saved me (though I borrowed my bf's dad's radar detector so I might have been OK). I couldn't believe how much fun it was...I never thought you could make a friend on the highway before.
The Natchez Trace Parkway and the Ouachitas/Ozarks were both stunning with the top down. What a fun roadtrip car, even if it limited how many shoes I could bring!
