Currently My 2001 Z3 3.0I is having a Supercharger installed by www.VF-Engineering.com in Anaheim, California
The blower is a polished V2 SQ Votech and they are engineering the air intake pipes and software for a bolt on package.
The car dynoed stock 190HP@Wheel
The power gain should be around 40% after the project is complete. The forced induction should be a mild 6PSI.
I was wondering what some of you guys might think about this modification. I have some photos that I took yesterday. The photos don’t look like much but it’s a work in progress.
What do you guys think of this modification? Would you consider doing it to your Z3?
Photos are at the link below"" they are too big to be in this forum http://www.geocities.com/firedwg1

I'd consider a very mild application for my Z3 Coupe ... but it'd have to be extremely well engineered to be CARB certified, not cause any issues with emissions or cooling. I believe Infinitas has one in development now... not sure where things are though.

Personally, I think enough of the Vortech V2 to turn around and install it on my own S-52 M Rdstr. I'll probably be doing the installation in the next month or so.
What I do know is this: I much prefer the (more) linear power delivery of the belt-driven supercharger to the all or nothing way the turbo comes on.
