Brent, you asked for this a long time ago, I finally remembered to take one for you the other day.  Those are powdercoated in 'Black Chrome' from columbiacoatings.com As you can see, the deadpedal isn't cut quite right (noted by many others that have looked at using it), but I like it anyway. Works well for me at planting my butt at autocross until my leg gets tired.  |

I have my footrest sitting at home. I think I messed something and am waiting for some help from the forum.

BMW shipped screws that just thread into the plastic. That's not what I used; I used stainless steel screws with locknuts and washers on the backside of the deadpedal. Obviously I took the kickpanel/deadpedal out of the car to do the installation. I actually use my deadpedal, sometimes with considerable force (Randy has cracked one of his, must be an autocross thing). I wouldn't trust screws threaded into the plastic on mine due to my abuse, but your mileage may vary.

I am going to do what you did. I need to find the post were someone showed the removal of the dead pedal. Do you have it by any chance.
