First Aid kit / Emergency triangle

My Dealer confirmed via phone on 21 November that new E60's do NOT come with
a first aid kit nor the reflective emergency triangle (both my 2005 E60 came without either).

I was told these items only come in European delivery vehicles - is this correct?

Oh, and when did this begin? I had a 2000 E39 and it came with both items?

Cheers!

Both items are only available in Europe. We always figured it was due to the DOT thinking American's couldn't figure out that the reflective side was supposed to face traffic. I assume the First Kit (which we sell) has bandages that do not meet US safety standards.

Do you know the part number for the triangle?

Does this look right? I searched for a warning triangle for a European E60.

The E60 sedan triangle is the same as the E46/M Coupe one but sans the blue case. I got one from my French Connection and when I looked at it I said "Hmmm, looks suspiciously like..." and sure enough. The part number is:

71606768272

The triangle for the E60 wagon is the same as on the E46 Compact:

71606756429

I'll need to get one of these in Vienna the week after next.

U.S. E60 Sedan's do come with a U.S.-version first aid kit. It's the same shape and basic contents as the European one and it goes in the tool tray in the trunk. The wagons seem to come with the standard black BMW first aid kit.
