 Warm-up vs driving cold

I live in New England where cold is an understatment in the winter. I have always warmed up my car for 10-15 min prior to driving. I have been reading recently its a better idea to drive the car at cold low rpm's. Any opinions?

Current conventional wisdom: Do not warm up car; commence driving immediately (or as soon as convenient), but baby it until it is warm.

The car warms up faster if driven .

I drive right away but take it really slow and easy.

I sure hope you don't have a attitude about showing you some past threads on your subject.
