E40 / E36 Z3
Hi everyone, Can someone tell me what the difference between a E40 z3 and a E36 Z3 are? The car in question is a 1.9L 103Kw Z3, 1997 model. I am looking for a induction kit for my car and have been in contact with Gruppe M, They say they don't have anything for my car which is the E36 but their web site shows a induction kit for the E40 1.9 Z3 and also for the E36 318is. When I look at the photos it all looks the same. At present the OE Airbox has a Air temp sensor in the side of it, could this be the difference ? Thanks for any help or info..........Bill

I think Eisenmann and many of the European aftermarket companies use E40 to designate Z3.
