Talked to a guy over at a race shop about getting the 3.73 freshened up a bit. Talking about putting in another plate and increasing the lockup to 40%, and then replacing the seals and such for me. Sounds like a good deal.
Think its worth doing?

Think its worth doing? | Exactly what I plan to do with mine. My first 3.73 is on it's last legs. I already picked up a second used 3.73 to put in the car temporarily. The plan is to get the old 3.73 with 40% lock-up...I just need to decide who I will go with...Jim Blanton, Rush Motorsports, Metric Mechanic, and Koala are who I plan to choose from

I got a local guy who does diffs all the time. I figure i will let him have a go at it, and I will let you know.
What does this kinda thing usually run?

The 3.73:1 I got from BMP included 40% lockup.

Your posts are what got me thinking...
But how much did you spend on your diff?
I think everyone here knows how frugal I am.

MSH | Mark,
I plan to put in a Quaife with 3.73. Probably this Winter. Ramon at Bavarian Motorsports in Milpitas will be doing the install for me.
