Does anybody know how you exactly change the oil filter on a '99 2.8 Z3 or just any Z3 because I think it is probably similar. I can't immediately find a good tread on the website.
Later I also want to try to change the oil myself but for now, I would be happy if somebody could help me out with the filter. Btw, any idea how much they cost?
Thanks a lot! I appreciate all the help on this site!

http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/tech...Oil-Change.htm | Ok, that doesn't look too difficult. Basically unscrewing the filter, clean the housing out and putting the new one in. I'll try to do it this weekend because I don't trust those jiffylube filters after what I heard...
Thx

Biggest problem is finding the 36mm socket to do it right.
I wonder if the M cqap and bolt would work? Nice 13mm nut to remove.

Here's another how-to article and this guy sells the 36mm socket. I bought a 1.9 oil change socket and filter from him some time ago.
