Did the Norcal convoy from Pleasanton down to Santa Barbara. There were about 80 different Bimmers, but only about 3 Roadsters. It was a blast. Bimmerfest was great, I parked on the lot with another 2002 roady. There hundreds of M3s, but maybe 5 roadsters and maybe 3 coupes. I was surprised at the lack of Z3s. The route home was Highway 1 from Morro Bay to Monterey. What a wonderful top down trip. In Sand City I met a nice guy with a LS Blue coupe at a gas station. Here are some Pix.

I met Claus with a rare 2002 Z3, pistachio green, looked like gold with a light green tint, and a white interior. He won an award at BMWCCA Octoberfest last year.

Afterwards like 300 Bimmers did a 100 mile cruise through the hills. We stopped half way, on the turn off to Highway 154. There were so many BMWs that we filled up the parking lot and backed up on to the freeway off ramp. Wow.

It was my first Bimmerfest It was a Blast. The drive to it was the fastest time 5 hours of driving has ever gone. My son and I enjoyed the whole experience. I enjoyed talking with all of you. Mike & Casey

When Claus saw it he fell in love with it...
