What's the hook shaped tool (partially shown) on top of the box?

Bearing tools look nice!

I was wondering the same??
Looks like a spring compressor.

The hook shaped tool is a tappet depressor; one end for exhaust, one for intake. A friend was looking at an E30 M3 that needed top end work. He changed his mind. Should I buy an S14 or S38 motor just so I can use the tool?

Actually, I really want an E30 M3 in the stable, but it's going to have to wait. Hopefully not so long that they're all museum pieces.
