I just got a 99 M coupe, but it did not come with the owners and service manuels. I had some questions the oil change intervals, inspection I and II. How many miles between oil changes? When do the Inspect I and II come in? I was also thing of using Mobil 1 15/50w. I live in LA so it gets pretty hot during the summer in grid lock traffic. If you pull the switch out, and reverse the wires, it will light up. Do a search to make sure you got the right wires. I would hate to quote the wrong ones without going out to the car and looking.

For manuals, you might want to check ebay. '99 manuals show up once in a while and you'll be able to score the whole package in the nice black zippered case if you're patient enough. Remember the 99 and 00 are very similar so you could use the 00 manual in a pinch now and pick up a 99 later.
If the previous owner didn't tell you the radio code, you can get it from a dealer when you provide the serial number of the car or radio.
The radio is removed with a little 5 sided tool. PM me and I'll tell you where I got mine.

Welcome, hope we are not to anal for you. we can get carried away sometimes. Like I hear Daniel ( DWM) is powdercoating his driveshaft!
You will love the people here. Quite a few in your neck of the woods (left coast). But many of us are here on the east side.
Oil changes are every 3 - 5K.
