I am not a track junkie so I want my car setup for occasional agressive highway and spirited street. (best description I can come up with)

I have dinan suspension including adjustable rear camber.

I have a couple of questions

1.
I think the posts recommend as close to zero front toe as possible for long tire life. Is this correct?

the TIS shows front toe at O degree 20' +/- 5" How do you read this?

2.
rear toe is not adjustable. correct?

3.
My rear camber is adjustable. What is recommended rear camber setup for my driving?

For what it's worth, I've owned BMW's for over 25 years and never have had an alignment done. If I ever do, I will purchase the tools and do it myself.

I would run 0 to 1/16" toe out to minimize the tendency to understeer. This did not contribute to "wander" when travelling down the Interstate.

I ran as much negative camber as I could get using the stock upper bearing. If yours are adjustable, I'd shoot for 1-1/2 degrees negative camber. Even for spirited street use, more than that would be (though subjective) excessive.

With eccentric (rear) trailing arm bushings, you can adjust both camber and toe. Though limited; you can only get so much of each. In other words, you might have to compromise a little of one adjustment to gain more of the other.

Tire pressure goes a long way in the handling characteristics as well. With the Hoosiers I would run 43-45 Lbs. front to 38-39 Lbs. rear. Checking tire temperatures across the tread (outer, center, inner) after every run proved those pressures to be optimal. For autocross purposes anyway.

As I don't drive as hard on the street I used the factory recommended settings for quite a while (35f/38r) but have since gravitated towards 37psi all around.

DO you have adjustable shock absorbers? That's a whole'nother thing to get into.

I agree with randy. The single biggest thing you can vary to get the handling balance you want is to play with tire pressures. I usually run 37F 35R on the street. I was able to get -1.5 deg in the front with zero toe. Since I don't have adjustable bushings in the rear, they measure out at -1.7 deg. I fond this balance to be very balanced and neutral.
