Im in the market for a coupe and cant decide which way to go... some days I think it would be fun to supercharge, some days I think I should just get the bigger engine. Any thoughts?

Any thoughts? | The S54 requires valve adjustments, had failures when first introduced. The S54 is a very different animal. Beautiful to look at, Revs to unreal levels and just seems to go and go up the rev range.
The S52 is tried and true. Very Very reliable. The final evolution of the renouned inline 6 series. Has lots of options as modifications. Lots of low end torque.
The color and condition of the body is really the difficult part as body work (scratches/dents) are costly and rarely are perfect.
The S52 Active Autowerks Turbo for example will create a real monster.
The S54 is a race bred design.

Any thoughts? | I would say, if you want to modify it and play with power, then get the S52 and lots can be done. If you want to just do a couple little bolt-ons, then go S54.
I was torn back and forth at one point.
have you ridden in a Supercharged coupe? or even any coupe yet? a buddy of mine has an Active Autowerek supercharged M Coupe with 303hp to the wheels. I might be able to get ahold of him and try to get you a ride if you really want.

Initial impression of the components is very good; every item is labeled as to what it is and where it goes. Considering this is my first foray into forced induction (not counting the removal of the Dinan s/c), I'm glad for the visual aids

a buddy of mine has a 415rwhp S52... so I'm biased towards the S52 since it is a very tried and true platform
